A set of twelve mahogany dining chairs in early George III style, each with a serpentine top rail, above a pierced splat and a drop-in seat, on square tapering front legs united by an 'H' stretcher, comprising: an open armchair and eleven side chairs, some stamped with initials 'GTS', 19th century. Football Bobby Tambling 12x8 signed b/w photo pictured being interviewed while on England duty. Robert Victor Tambling (born 18 September 1941) is an English former professional footballer, who played as a forward, most notably for Chelsea, Crystal Palace and England. He was Chelsea's all-time top scorer for 47 years, with 202 goals in all competitions until Frank Lampard surpassed this total on 11 May 2013. Tambling remains Chelsea's all-time top scorer in league competition with 164 goals. After enjoying a successful career in the Football League during the 1960s and early 1970s, Tambling moved to Ireland. He subsequently played for several clubs in the League of Ireland and also represented the League of Ireland XI. After retiring as a player he continued to live in Ireland, residing in Crosshaven, County Cork. Good Condition. All signed pieces come with a Certificate of Authenticity. JOYCE WILLIAM: (1900-1946) Fascist Politician and Nazi Propaganda Broadcaster to the United Kingdom during World War II, known as Lord Haw-Haw. Executed for Treason. An extremely rare vintage signed postcard photograph of Joyce, the image depicting the fascist in a semi profile half length pose, his scar ('Chelsea smile') inflicted in 1924 clearly evident, and wearing his black shirt with the British Union of Fascists logo visible. Signed ('W W Joyce') in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone to the centre of the image, across a darker area although legible. Annotated in ink in an unidentified hand to the verso, 'Signed by William Joyce at Leaside Library Hall Jan 18. 1937'. Autographs of Joyce are extremely rare in any form, and signed photographs are very seldom encountered. Some light silvering and age wear to the edges of the image, otherwise about VG The present photograph was signed shortly before Joyce was dismissed by Oswald Mosley, who had founded the British Union of Fascists in 1932. Joyce served as Director of Propaganda within the organisation and also as Area Administrator for the West Sussex division. The area became a hub of fascist activity under his regime with events including Blackshirt summer camps, lunches, rallies and meetings taking place.
