As the last surviving wooden bridge on the Thames in London at this time, it was considered an important landmark and attracted many leading artists of the period including J M W Turner, Atkinson Grimshaw and James McNeill Whistler. Parts of the Albert Suspension Bridge, constructed between 1870-1873, can also be seen to the right.Lined. Canvas tension is good and paint layer is stable. Some surface dirt and little piece of debris stuck to the canvas in the sky area. Some retouchings in the clouds appear to have discoloured. Framed 33.5 x 41.5cm
