THE CHAMPION BOOKLETS Three mini booklets were published by the Champion a boys’ comic between 1922 and 1955. Looking at the Chelsea team group it includes Hughie Gallacher but prints that he had been transferred to Derby. The records show that the transfer took place in 1934. Booklet 1 is for the 1st Division, Booklet 2 for the 2nd Division including Bradford P A and Booklet 3, the 3rd Division North including the original Accrington Stanley, Barrow and Southport. All 3 covers are loose and the single staple for each booklet is missing leaving rust stains. Generally good
