A pair of Meissen figural candlesticks, one modelled with a bearded miser seated before a brick pediment with a bag on his knee that is spilling gold coins, together with a companion in surreptitious pose before an empty barrel with a lantern in one hand, both on scroll moulded bases before three florally encrusted and scrolling branches surmounted by sconces, 29cm. high, blue crossed swords and incised 986 and 945 respectively, some loss and damages.
A late 17th century brass striking lantern clock, the 16cm. dial signed 'John Ebsworth at ye cross keys in Lothbury, Londini fecit', above engraved flowerheads and with a single hand and central alarm disc, the weight-driven movement with anchor escapement, the frame with slender tapering corner posts, urn finials, dolphin frets and top mounted bell, 39cm. high with later restorations, together with a wooden wall bracket.
