A 19th century stained-pine-cased gilt-metal-mounted magic lantern by Optimus (London); fully adjustable and seemingly in very good original order and conditionThe only lenses that seem to be present are those on the adjustable lenses at the very front with the circular “Optimus” hinged lid cap covering. There is a slightly misshapen piece at the very top at the back. There seems to be a little surface oxidisation to the metal and it has come privately. When we take away the three adjustable burners from inside the lamp the dome topped section and burners are away from the lamp. The large internal circular lense has a single horizontal crack across the diameter of the lense to the larger internal lense. The metal seems to be in good general overall order. It appears to be the original stained wooden case with a singular handle to the top.
