Two 19th century Chinese novelty white metal and champlevé enamelled procession items, both with detailed mixed colourways, one shaped as a fan with filigree back and insect decorated front, the other hexagonal parasol shaped with tassels underneath, both on detachable four stilted stands, lantern shaped approx. 17cm high, other approx. 17.2cm high. (2)   Further details: lantern shaped one has missing tassels and applied wire design, misshapen areas and loss to enamels to both in parts, tarnishing to both, surface wear / scratching etc. Provenance: From the Henry Lardner Dennys estate, signed treaty of Hong Kong.

Fine craquelure in places however paint layers are in an excellent condition overall. There is a thick varnish layer present which has yellowed with age and is a little uneven with matte patches and scuffs. A little rubbing to the edges but overall, presents well. Please see additional condition images.
