A Fine and Rare Brass Striking Lantern Clock, signed Thomas Ford, Bucks, Fecit, late 17th century, four posted movement with verge escapement and outside countwheel striking on a top mounted bell, pierced side fret and the front fret engraved with sea creatures, 6-1/4-inch silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with half hour markers, single hand, finely engraved centre with flower heads and signed, central alarm setting disc with a sunburst centre, 39cm high Thomas Ford was working in Buckingham between 1680-1710.
