A finely carved Japanese ivory okimono, a Geisha in walking out kimono engraved with flowers and decorative fan shaped panels, the obi painted with two kanji characters in black ink, depicted standing demurely looking down while holding a paper lantern in her right hand and supporting her kimono skirt with her left. Late Meiji 1900-1906. Height 22.5cm. Condition report: 1 heel chipped, tiny chip to hair ribbon.

A late 19th century magic lantern projector, The Praestantia by Riley Bros, Bradford, with 7 inch brass cased lens, the tinned casework supporting a rachet mechanisim to the chimney with 4 wick burner - all housed in a black japaned tin travel case (the projector appears to have had virtually no use)
