A Small Brass Lantern Timepiece with Alarm, signed Edward Rundell, circa 1730, turned finials and pierced frets, side opening doors, 4-1/4-inch Roman numeral chapter ring, scroll engraved centre signed, central alarm disc, single hand, four posted weight driven movement with anchor escapement and alarm striking on a bell, bob pendulum, 26cm high 12.06.15, Case with brass surfaces faded, pinions and arbors appear to have been restored, movement looks clean, with two weights.

An Early Civil War Period Brass Striking Lantern Clock, unsigned, mid-17th century and later, turned finials and bearing the lion and unicorn pierced frets, side opening doors, 6-1/4-inch Roman numeral chapter ring, centre with floral engraving, single hand, four posted weight driven movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel striking on a top mounted bell, 39cm high 12.06.15, Brass surfaces are faded and nicely aged, later pierced frets, single hand is rusty, underside of the ball shaped feet are missing, alarm work missing, converted from balance wheel to anchor escapement, back panel missing, with a weight and a pendulum.

Shaw, Botesdale, the matted centre with alarm setting disc, blued steel hand, the two-train movement with verge escapement, in a posted frame case surmounted by side frets and strapped bell, hoop and spurs, c. 1770, 8.25in (21cm) high. Provenance: A private collection in the Cotswolds.

A rare Charles II striking lantern clock of long duration, the 6.5 inch chapter ring signed in the tulip engraved centre John Flint, Mansfield, central rosette, steel hand, pierced and engraved dolphin frets, the movement converted from balance wheel to verge escapement, both trains with large barrels (now with nylon rope), in a posted frame case of typical construction surmounted by the bell and urn finial, c. 1680, 16.5in (42cm) high. Provenance: A private collection in the Cotswolds.
