A tin magic lantern and miniature model similar, together with a collection of lantern slides, seven by William Harris, 47 Holborn London, various subjects, a collection of twelve French slides depicting moral tales, a collection of eight circular slides depicting figure and bear in various scenes, entitled "Brown's Bear", seven further long slides framed, five similar unframed but with some frame parts, including some stamped "William Harris", a collection of various miniature slides and others in varying condition (many damaged) CONDITION REPORTS Larger lantern very rusted and with damage - see images.Smaller lantern very rusted though apparently intact. Some dents. As per catalogue description - some slides intact, some glass damaged, some frames have come apart. French green framed set appear basically sound though again, arguably a little tired. A CHINESE PORCELAIN WIRED LAMP ON A ORMOLU BASE, QING DYNASTY, LATE 19TH-EARLY 20THa chinese porcelain, with converted base, figure of jolly man, with his tongue out, two tiny buns, dressed in yellow floral pants, with a black and green tunic, tied with a yellow rope, he stands in black boots with his right hand up holding a lantern with brass detailing and porcelain flowers, he stands on a grassy plinth on a ormolu plinth; overall height: 32 cm (12 5/8 in.) CONDITION In age-appropriate condition. Overall surface dust, most notably around his mouth, hands and feet. Uneven texture and paint loss visible on his tunic. Should be noted that the lamp is wired but not in working condition. Inspection under UV shows retouching to his tongue and above his right hand to his tunic. N.B. A FRENCH PORCELAIN LAMP ON AN ORMOLU BASE OF A GUARD, LATE 19TH-EARLY 20THa guard porcelain figurine with converted base, the guard stands to the side with his hand up and the other holding a flowering bamboo stick, at the end hangs a lantern with a floral motif and scenes in individual panels, he stands on a gilt natural base, he wears a floral and foliate layered tunic with blue shoes; overall height: 36 cm (14 1/8 in.) CONDITION In age-appropriate condition. Overall surface dust, most notably on around his hands, top of his head and neck, he is missing a thumb that appears to have broken off. Visible adhesive to the lantern on the back right panel. Should be noted that the lamp is wired but not in working condition. Inspection under UV shows scattered retouching to the tunic. N.B.
