Signed in bold blue ink at the conclusion. Together with a signed 8 x 10 photograph of Vonnegut in a head and shoulders pose holding a cigarette in one hand. A late 17thC brass dial clock, having floral chased spandrels and floral engraved centre field, single hand, the chapter ring having Roman hour numerals, with stylised dividers and marked Jos Townsend Helmdon, now Fecit, 20cm dial, lantern framed movement, in a later 18thC longcase, with dentil moulded cornice, arched moulded trunk door, plain base, on bracket feet, 185cm H.There is a Joseph Townsend listed on Miscellena Edition c1700, Helmdon and is the name associated with the maker of the church clock in Helmdon.
