A pair of Italian painted tole back-lit wall lanterns, second quarter 20th century, each with hinged door opening to removeable reverse-painted glass scenes with figures in a landscape setting, 60cm high, 29cm wide, 9cm deep (2)It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that electrical items are professionally rewired for use.Condition Report: The lantern on the left of the photo: The terminal is detached and needs securing back on.  The painted tole surface is worn and flaking in areas overall with some losses and a oxidised surface below.  The underside above the broken terminal has residue of old sticky tape.  The interior has three removeable glass "slides" which do not move easily due to some mis-shaping to the slots supporting them.The lantern on the right of the photo:  The terminal is attached but bent upwards.  There is old tape in this area.  The paintwork and surface in a similar position to the other lantern.  The hinged door to the side is stuck and has not been opened while consigned at Roseberys.  The glass top "slide" has dropped and is not fixed in position on the right edge.  The hinged back of this lantern is not shut tightly as a wire is protruding at one corner.Overall, both lanterns require some attention.
