Two 18th century Continental figures of classical maidens,11cm high, together with a Samson of Paris famille verte tea bow; and saucer; a pair of porcelain leaf dishes and a similar butter boat, possibly ItalianThe maiden with the purple floral drapery has a left lower leg missing and her right forearm missing. The glaze is heavily marked and in some areas either thin or has signs of loses. There is consistant discolouration to the glaze and heavy marking. There is pitting to the glaze that has given the figurine a rough texture.The maiden with the yellow drapery is in better condition. The glaze has some discolouration but is relatively smooth. There is some small areas of chipping to the flowers in the hand and in the bouquet. There are some general marking to the figurines arms.The tea bowl and saucer: The tea bowl has heavy marking on the base of the bowl. There is rubbing to the paint which has caused fading. This also applies to the saucer. The rim of both the bowl and scauer has a rough feel with loses to the gold paint. The saucer also has heavy marking to the base. The saucer signs of chipping which has primarily affected the glaze.The three leaf trinket bowls have a consitant glaze, but all of them has heavy marking and a little bit of staining. Mainly around the rim and the left stem. There is also a rough edge to the rims of the leaves which suggests chipping. Black marks and pitting is visible on all three leaves. A professional clean would be recommended.

5th-4th century B.C. With slightly tapering socket and openwork bulb above, discoid platform supporting a mounted warrior modelled in the round; horse with long vertical tail and horizontal reins, bowed legs and scrolls at the hooves; warrior astride the horse with legs bent and feet to the rear, helmet with lateral horns and large swept crest with notched edge; arms bent to show the warrior in the act of drawing his falcata sword from the scabbard worn across his midriff; mounted on a custom-made stand. Cf. 'Warrior of Moixent' Iberian bronze figurine in the Museo de Prehistoria de Valencia, inventory no.2899. 152 grams total, 18.2 cm high including stand (7 1/8 in.). Ex Axel Guttmann collection.Accompanied by a copy of an old photograph showing this item on display in a display cabinet within the Guttmann Museum. The horseman's pose with his legs bent and feet held towards the rear would have been necessary before the introduction of stirrups in the early medieval period. As catalogued the Meissen figurines all with damage and with restoration, the one with the basket with a cracked and repaired arm, the one with a cape with damaged feet/toes, the one with the crown with both arms cracked and repaired, the final figure with a cracked and restored arm.
