An undated archaistic group of carved stone items comprising: a scooped oil lamp with low-relief canine to each side; a spout formed as a grotesque canine; an ibex figurine; a boat-shaped holder with three circular sockets. 4.9 kg total, 15-19cm (6 - 7 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired before 2000. [4, No Reserve] Fine condition; ibex horns and back legs broken.

A chalcedony figurine of a recumbent horse, legs tucked under the belly, long tail curved to the right, head turned backwards towards a monkey; small monkey clambering on horse's back with left hand stretched to its muzzle. 95 grams, 6cm (2 1/2"). Property of a Middlesex collector; acquired on the London art market before 2000; formerly in an old English collection. [] Fine condition.

A black jasper figurine depicting a tortoise with domed shell, plate detailing to the back and underneath, small erect head; offered with a later green stone cat amulet, pierced longitudinally. 60 grams total, 32-51mm (1 1/4 - 2"). Formerly the property of a private collector, Bath, Avon, UK; acquired on the UK art market in the early 1980s; formerly acquired on the European art market circa 1970. [No Reserve] Fine condition.

A carved banded amethyst figurine of a bodhisattva, possibly Guanyin, modelled in the round, wearing flowing robes, left hand on her hip, right hand raised and holding a floral sprig, hair dressed on a high bun. 245 grams, 16cm (6 1/4"). From an old Hampshire collection; acquired before 1980. [No Reserve] Fine condition, part of the floral sprig missing.

He was well known as an engaging and cordial host, a great philanthropist and as a lover of jazz, hockey and of course pizza.
