MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURINE OF DAPHNE AND APOLLO depicting a Apollo and Daphne, Daphne formed from a tree trunk, the Apollo draped in purple wraps one of his arms around her waist, atop a naturalistic base with gilt detailing,marked with factory mark in blue underglaze, incised model number J9 in paste, 107 stamped in paste, vv in brown underglaze underbase; height: 36 cm (14 1/8 in.) CONDITIONThe figurine appears in age-appropriate condition. A chip to a leaf of the tree trunk. Scattered firing imperfections visible to the body and arm of the woman.
