A rare limited edition 'Sparrow & Cricket Ball' figurine by Mike Tandy (ex-Royal Worcester painter). The figure is based on the sparrow that was killed by a cricket ball at Lord's on the 3rd July 1936 - the only bird that has been known to be felled by a bowler (Jahangir Khan playing for Cambridge) rather than a batsman. The actual taxidermy bird and ball are in the museum at Lord's Cricket Grounds. Together with original case and certificate.Repair where bird attaches to cricket ball.

A large Victorian alabaster figure of a boy standing against a wall, H39cmGeneral condition is good, there appears to be damage to both ankles of the boy, the figure appears to have been broken and re-mounted at this point, there does not appear to be any other identifiable damage in terms of the figure breaking away from the wall itself, in fact it appears that the entire base of the figure has been broken away at one time and replaced, including the lower half of the reverse of the wall, there are also general surface markings and chippings across the entire figurine
An assortment of 20th century china to include an Aynsley Orchard Gold lidded urn vase with gilded details, a pair of hand painted Henwick still life fruit cabinet plates in the manner of Royal Worcester, a Paragon fine bone china cup and saucer being decorated with gilded scrolled pattern and florals in the Alexandria pattern and a Dresden figurine in the form of a Rococo era society lady with delicate lace skirt. Measures 23cm tall.
