After Giambologna - A large and impressive lead statue figurine of Mercury The Swift Messenger Of The Ancient Gods modelled holding the traditional caduceus wand raised on cherub face mask base. Raised on a stone pedestal base. The figure can be separated from the base for ease of transport and is joined by a large metal rod for support, the wand also being removable. Can be used as interior statement piece of a exterior garden feature. A brilliant copy of an antique statue. Measures: 158cm tall.
Jimmy Iqaluq (b1947) E9-159 - Black Loon - A superb 20th Century Inuit Art hand carved soapstone sculpture figurine of a black loon bird with head and beak raised, wings tucked and crossed finished with speckled decoration. Signed by artist to underside and dated 1990. Label present reading carving nuner 5115. Measures: 16cm long from tip of beak to end of tail feathers. Jimmy was born in Kataapik, near Sanikiluaq, on the Belcher Islands, in 1947. He has been carving since he was 13 years old. He learned carving by watching his parents, Mina and Samwillie. His work is characterized by intricate details developed through both carving and incising techniques. His experience and knowledge as a hunter is reflected in his carvings. The Loon Bird is a example of one his most famous pieces. Currently, he enjoys providing country food for this family and friends.

The figure made by German porcelain factory Rudolf Kämmer of Volkstedt Thuringia, painted a blue crown mark over K to base. Measures: 18cm tall.
