Royal Doulton Figurine 'Lady Charmian' Figurine HN 1948 Designed by L. Harradine, issued 1940 -1973, height 8 inches, 20.3 cm in green and red colourway. Along with HN 1922 'Spring Morning', designed by L.Harradine, issued 1940-1973, height 7 1/2 inches. Also, HN 1810, designed by L. Harradine, issued 1937 -1995, in pink colourway, height 5 inches. Royal Worcester Early Issue Figurine 'The Parakeet' Model No.3087 By Freda Doughty Issued 1935 - 1983, this an early example in matte finish with green and gold colour way. Together with Royal Worcester 'The Parakeet', later model circa 1940 in glazed pink and lilac colour way with black backstamp. Each figure 7 inches. New Kingdom, XVIII Dynasty, 1470-1330 BC. A gold amuletic figurine of the goddess Nekhbet in vulture form, with hatching to the wings. 0.9 grams, 12mm (1/2"). See The Baron Empain collection, Christie's, London, 14 April 2011, Lots 37 & 40, for similar. Ex French collection, 1920s. Fine condition.
New Kingdom, 1550-1070 BC. A bronze figurine of a pharaoh standing with left foot advanced, wearing a knee-length kilt and hairpiece with uraeus to the brow, left hand raised and clenched holding a rod(?); peg to the feet for attachment, custom-made wooden stand. 278 grams, 18cm including stand (7"). Property of a South African lady; formerly in the private collection of Dr. Frederick Lorch, Swiss geologist and author on Egyptian antiquities, and managing director of S.A. Minerals Corporation; acquired from the early 1960s to the early 1980s; thence by descent to the current owner. Fair condition, repaired.
1st century BC-1st century AD. A bronze figurine of a nude rider with mantle to the shoulders and quiver to the back, radiate crown, right hand extended with discus or patera. Cf. Rolland, H. Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965, item 320 for type. 29.4 grams, 53mm (2 1/4"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Very fine condition.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Interest (1807-1882) A fantastic and rare late 19th Century American large ormolu bronze desk paperweight in the form of an eagle having armorial plaque crest to front reading and depicting Portland ME Portland Headlight and Longfellows home. The eagle figurine raised on pedestal base with wings spread. Measures 13cm high.
A group of three 18th century Parian ware French figurines comprising of a Niderviller biscuit porcelain figure late 18th century, modelled by Charles-Gabriel Sauvage (called Lemire) Depicting two maidens and a cherub with net raised on plinth base, similar figurine of the Three Graces and a parian ware figurine of the seated Mercury after the antique by Sommer Naples. Tallest measures 18cms high.
