A late 18th century Leeds creamware figural candle snuffer in the form of a lady wearing a bonnet with a blue jacket with yellow trim, height 16cm, together with three pieces of 19th century Staffordshire to include a pounce pot, etc (5).Additional InformationCandle snuffer is heavily af, with old repair to the head and shoulders, also a large crack and old repair to the body, chipping to the glaze. The figurine with numerous old repairs to the body, legs and neck, also chipping throughout. The pounce pot with heavy wear to the paintwork. The jug with a large chip to the inside of the hat. The left figure in the large figure group has had the head detached and reglued, also the top of the bottle has been broken off and reglued. The second figure with large chip to the hat, which has been reglued, numerous chips to the body. Also a large crack/old repair to the back of the figure, numerous areas of paint loss.

Zwei praekolumbische Objekte. a) H 17cm, B 15cm. Schwarz geschmauchter Ton. Doppelgefäß von zwei miteinander verbundenen Knickwandvasen, deren Hälse in eine männliche und eine kleinere weibliche Figur auslaufen, die männliche Vase trägt auf dem Kopf einen zylinderförmigen Ausguss. Die Figuren sind als Tanzende dargestellt, die sich an den Händen halten; die Frau hat die linke Hand graziös auf den Kopf gelegt, der Mann den rechten Arm erhoben. Aus mehreren Fragmenten zusammengesetzt; Chimú, ca. 900-1470 n. Chr. b) H 14,5cm. Heller Ton, mit Resten von blauer und roter Bemalung, poliert. Mit geschlossenen Beinen stehende nackte weibliche Figur, die Handflächen nach außen gedreht, die Handgelenke mit Armreifen und die Brust mit einem Pektoral geschmückt. Die Figur trägt einen Nasenring und Ohrringe, auf dem Kopf eine hohe, nach hinten ausladende Haube. Winzige Bestoßung im Gesicht, Restaurierung im Halsbereich. La Tolita, ca. 100-500 n. Chr. 2 Stück! Augen durch Einstiche angegeben, Rücken und Gesicht flächig mit Ritzmustern bedeckt. Mit originaler Sammlungskarte und TL-Analyse aus dem Jahre 2003! Geringfügige Bestoßungen, ansonsten intakt. Terracotta figurine made of light, slightly reddish clay. Jumping frog with its mouth slightly open. Eyes indicated by punctures, back and face covered with incised patterns. Kleine Figurine ("Pretty Lady"). Michoacan, um 300 v. Chr. H 15,5cm. Ton mit Spuren von roter Bemalung. Nackte weibliche Statuette mit hohem Kopfputz, länglichen, schräggestellten Augen, vom Körper weit abgespreizten Armen und fleischigen Beinen, an den Kniescheiben betont. Im Brustbereich gebrochen und wieder geklebt, Füße und rechte Hand abgebrochen. Preclassic female figurine ( Pretty Lady ) made form clay with traces of red colour. Vollplastische Keramikfigur eines Mannes. Papua-Neuguinea, Sepik, 1. Hälfte 20. Jh. H 28cm, B 29cm, T 18cm. Rötlicher Ton. Großer Kopf mit prägnanter Nase, diese mit Septumsdurchbohrung, Augen und Mund durch Schlitze angegeben, über den Augen ein Bogen mit vier Lochungen, auf dem Kopf drei weitere Löcher, unter dem Mund ebenfalls weitere fünf Lochungen. Die Arme weit ausgestreckt, Hände jeweils mit fünf Fingern ausgeformt. Beine bogig geformt, Füße übergroß und grob ausgeformt. Der ganze Körper vorder- und rückseitig mit vollflächigem Ritzdekor verziert. Reste von roter Bemalung. Mit Kopie der TL-Analyse aus dem Jahre 1998! Unbedeutende Bestoßungen, ansonsten intakt. Ceramic figurine of a man made of reddish clay. Large head, concise nose with a perforated septum, eyes and mouth indicated by slits, an arch with four holes above the eyes, three more holes on top of the head, and another five holes below the mouth. Arms outstretched, both hands shaped with five fingers. Legs in form of an arch, feet oversized and roughly shaped. The whole body on the front and back with incised decoration. Remains of red paint. Papua New Guinea, 1st half 20th century. With copy of a TL-analysis from 1998! Provenienz: Ex Slg. U.H., Süddeutschland, erworben 1998, davor Slg. Georg Höltker.

Holzfigur eines Vogels. Papua-Neuguinea, Mittlerer Sepik, Anfang bis Mitte 20. Jh. H 85cm, B 36cm. Brettförmig aus Holz geschnitzte Silhouette eines (Wasser-?)Vogels, beidseitig ausgearbeitet, die Flügel in Form von sich deutlich abhebenden Ovalen, am Schwanz Ziermuster, die Augen in Form von Knubbeln, auf dem Kopf ein gezackter Kamm. Streifenbemalung aus gelber, roter, schwarzer und weißer Farbe. Die Holzfigur mittels geflochtener Wicklung aus Rattan (?) standartenartig auf ein Stück Bambusrohr montiert. Intakt. Wooden figurine of a bird. Board-shaped silhouette of a (water-?) bird carved out of wood, worked on both sides, wings in the form of clearly protruding ovals, decorative patterns at the tail, the eyes in form of knobs, on top of the head a jagged comb. Decorated with stripes of yellow, red, black and white paint. The wooden figurine is mounted onto a piece of bamboo cane with a braided winding made of rattan (?). Papua New Guinea, early of mid 20th century. Intact. Provenienz: Ex Slg. U.H., Süddeutschland, erworben 1998.

Kleine olmekische Jadefigur. ca. 900 - 700 v. Chr. H 11cm. Graugrüne Jade, poliert. Kleine, flach gearbeitete Figur, Details in Ritztechnik und Bohrung. Die Figurine hat ein flaches, breites Gesicht mit einer Kopfbedeckung, ein durch Ritzlinien angedeutetes Gewand, die Hände auf den Unterleib gelegt. Die Beine sind getrennt, die Füße durch Abstufung gekennzeichnet. Seltenes, gut erhaltenes Objekt! Intakt, mit passendem Futteral. A miniature jade Olmec figure, polished, standing on tapering legs, with incised details and pecked eyes. Extremely well preserved and kept in a case. 900 - 700 B.C. Provenienz: In Deutschland seit 1965; Slg. Bernhard Wicki, erworben 1965 bei Stendhal Art Gallery, Hollywood, Kalifornien (Inv. 3994).
