A 19th century coromandel and gilt brass mounted jewellery box, the hinged top set with a Wedgwood jasper plaque, (cracked) and enclosing two removable segmented trays, 28cm wide. Condition Report: This box is in good used condition, however there are some issues: The Wedgwood plaque is cracked in several places and the top has a crack running across the top. There are brass entwined initials to the front. The interior trays are complete but will require attention. Ornate hinge firm and intact. Key present.
A box containing assorted costume jewellery to include a silver cased pocket watch, a 9 carat gold gentleman's signet ring, together with a sundial half hunter ladies pocket watch, various boxed and un-boxed Wade whimsies, commemorative coins, Steiff keyring, etc CONDITION REPORTS All the jewellery is worn and used in varying degrees. The boxed Wade whimsies are all in good condition. Un-boxed Wade whimsies are dirty but generally OK. The Steiff keyring has general wear. The silver cased pocket watch - the front is slightly bent and has difficulty closing. There is some damage to the face. It is not known whether or not the watch is in working order.

VICTORIAN COROMANDEL BRASS INLAID AND BOUND LADY'S VANITY BOX revealing fitted interior containing assorted engraved silver top dressing table jars of circular, square and rectangular form and a central band of vanity instruments with mother-of-pearl handles to include: button hook; tweezers; nail file; corkscrew etc. The interior of the lid being velvet lined and removable revealing inset mirror and letter compartment, the base also having secret type drawer revealing separate jewellery compartment. London 1860, maker's mark probably Thomas Wimbush. The box 32cm wide x 18.5cm high x 23cm deep. CONDITION REPORT: Appears fairly complete with all jars and covers present. One of the stoppers on the smaller jars is damaged and a couple of the lids have damage, splits, maker's mark rubbed in places, mirror is fairly pitted by available. Scuffs scratches and minor chippings to box itself. Wear to brass inlay.
