Auf dem Medaillon verso die Nummerierung eingraviert sowie zusätzlich auf der Schatulle verso nummeriert. - Partiell mit minimalen Grünspan, dieser kaum auffallend. Insgesamt wohlerhalten. Eines von 100 Exemplaren. - Hg. Deutsche Guggenheim für die Ausstellung "Sugimoto: Portraits", 5.3. - 14.5.2000. - Reproduktion des Kolliers von Jane Seymour, dritte Ehefrau Heinrich VIII. von England, der Ihr dieses schenkte. - In der Ausstellung "Sugimoto: Portraits" setzte sich der Fotograf mit den Portraits historischer Persönlichkeiten aus der Vergangenheit u. Gegenwart als Wachsfiguren bei Madame Tussaud`s auseinander. Er fotografierte u. A. Napoleon Bonaparte, Lady Diana oder Heinrich VIII. Als Konzept des Wechsels der Medien von der Bildfläche der Malerei zur Skulpturalität der Wachsfiguren zur Photographie spielt Sugimoto mit Referenzen der Kunstegschichte. In dieser Lesart entstand zur Ausstellung eine Replik des Colliers, das sich als Original von Jane Seymour zum Bildmotiv bei Hans Holbein d. J. Portrait, zur Nachbildung bei Madame Tussaud`s entwickelte und dann von Sugimoto fotografiert und letztlich tragbares Schmuckstück in Silbertönen als Referenz an Sugimotos zarter Fotografie wurde. Multiple of nickel-free, silver-plated brass alloy, imitations pearls and Swarowksi glass stones. In accompanying jewellery box. Signed on enclosed label. Numbering engraved on the back of the medallion and additionally numbered on the back of the box. - Partially with minimal verdigris, hardly noticeable. Overall in good condition. - One of 100 copies. - Replica of the famous collier Henry VIII. gifted his third wife Jane Seymour. - Published by Deutsche Guggenheim for the exhibition 'Sugimoto: Portraits' in 2000.
