A matched pair of gold earrings, each comprising a curved, leaf-shaped hoop tapering at one hand, a clasp and hook closure fronted by a drop-shaped box set with a garnet, a single granule above, and a rigid pendant below composed of a cluster of several hollow spheres of different sizes. Mr Rush was an engineer, farmer and lay preacher who lived at Golden Cross Farm in Siddington, Cheshire. He was also a historian, broadcaster, author and speaker who regularly gave talks on local history, agricultural history and historic curios. In addition, he was also an accomplished maker of corn dollies.PLEASE NOTE: This lot is being sold in-situ from a local farm house in Siddington. Collection within the week by Friday 26th. W. Payne, Bromley' watch box, a narrow gold wedding band, marks rubbed, size R, 1.1mm wide, 0.6g, and a white metal and enamelled brooch, in the form of an antelope, set with marcasites, 6.3g. (3)
A 19th Century Victorian coromandel wood vanity box / travel chest having a central inlaid mother of pearl cartouche panel atop with monogrammed center. The travel / dressing table vanity box having a hinged lid opening to reveal a fully appointed interior being blue leather and velvet lined with a series of cut clear glass scent bottles, vanity bottles with silver plated tops. The removables being within fitted lift out sections with decorative tooled leather and brass hinges throughout. Brass locks to the top section over a single jewellery drawer below having a fitted interior. Measures approx 18cm x 31cm x 23cm.
