A fine Victorian Coromandel and brass bound lady's dressing case, by Mappin Brothers, containing a selection of fifteen silver topped glass bottles and jars by The Mappin Brothers, London 1867, the covers variously shaped and engine turned, monogrammed within cartouches, (two bottles with replacement caps by F&Co, London 1928), also eight mother of pearl handled manicure and other implements in fitted trays, the box fitted with a detachable easel mirror to the lid, concealing an ivory backed handmirror, also fitted with three internally locked jewellery drawers, 36x28x22cm. Slight damage to the lock of the central lower jewellery drawer, replacement caps to two of the bottles, some minor cracking to the upper lid, a small 'nibble' out of the base of one of the small oval jars and another to the base of the small square inkwell otherwise in very good condition
