Art Deco 1940s Odeonesque diamond and ruby cocktail wristwatch, the rectangular dial signed Tarema, 15 jewel antimagnetic movement, diamond and ruby bezel, the exaggerated scroll lugs with further calibre cut rubies and single cut diamonds, with a gold double strand snake-link strap.The watch is currently running and winds smoothly and the hands adjust correctly. The watch is in excellent condition commensurate with age. The diamonds are lively bright stones, the rubies are possibly synthetic like a lot of rubies in jewellery of this period. There are no stones missing. It's a very stylish and unusual Art Deco design. The winding crown is not gold but the case and bracelet are definitely gold although not hallmarked, probably high carat. The bracelet is in good condition and the clasp works well. No box or papers. Weighs approximately 36.6 grams.
