A George III Silver Soup-Ladle, by Philip Roker, London, 1767 Old English pattern, engraved with initials above a sheaf of wheat34.5cm long, 5oz 17dwt, 182grFully marked on back of stem. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving.

An American Silver Soup-Ladle, by John Burger, New York, New York, Late 18th Century Old English pattern, with feather edge and engraved cartouche, later engraved with initials, with round bowl32.5cm long, 4oz 1dwt, 146grWith script 'Burger' and 'NYork' marks to back of stem. The marks with some wear but generally clear. There is the remains of a later French Minerva head import mark on the stem. There is overall surface scratching and wear. There has been a repair to the bowl which is somewhat bright. The initials are engraved later.
