A Victorian blue and white transfer printed dinner service, Nankeen semi-china, approximately 62 pieces. CONDITION REPORT: There are four sauce tureens and covers three of which have stands. Three covers are in good order whilst one has a 1 cm and a 4 cm very fine hairline crack around the ladle aperture. Two have a printed mark to the interior but otherwise all are free from obvious damage or restorations. One sauce tureen has a tiny nick to its rim, and a thumbnail size chip to its foot rim, another sauce tureen has a dark stained interior but is free from chips and cracks, the other sauce tureen is extensively cracked and has rivet repairs. The final sauce tureen is in good order throughout. One tureen stand has a small chip to its rim visible on both the top side and underside. Another sauce tureen stand has extensive crazing to the underside and a 4 cm fine hairline crack which is not visible on the top side and the final sauce tureen stand is in good order throughout with no obvious faults. There are three square shaped veg tureens and covers, two of the cover knops have small chips to their rims whilst the other knop has been broken off and rivet repaired. The rivet repair example also has two long hairline cracks each with a single rivet repair but the edge remains free of chips. One cover has a 5 cm fine hairline crack visible on the interior and exterior whilst another cover has a fingernail size chip to the interior from which issues a 5 cm hairline crack and the opposing side has a 6 cm hairline crack both visible on the interior and exterior. On the square bowls one has a large hairline crack with 6 rivets and another has numerous hairline cracks with a total of 6 rivet repairs and an extensive stained and crazed body with chips to the foot rim. One although is in good order throughout. There are two small hors d'oeuvres dishes one of which has a small slice missing from which issues a fine hairline crack, the other one appears to be in good order with no obvious faults. There are 9 small 16.5 cm diameter side plates, 6 are without obvious chips or cracks (although 3 are stained to the underside). One side dish has a tiny nibble to the underside rim, another has a small chip to the top side rim and another has extensive cracks with 6 rivet repairs. There are 10 soup plates, 9 of which are free of any obvious chips and cracks whilst one has a very small fingernail size chip to its surface rim (4 have issues with staining to the underside.) There is an oval shaped serving dish which is free of any obvious faults. There is a small rectangular serving dish which has a large chip to its underside rim. There is an oblong two handled dish that has large cracks and rivet repairs throughout and there is a square bowl that has a large hairline crack to one corner and three rivet repairs. There is an oval shaped stand which has a small chip to its foot rim. There is a rectangular meat plate that has an offset 11 cm fine hairline crack to the underside which is not visible on the surface. There is a circular dish on stand that has a small fingernail size chip and a small nibble to its foot rim. There are 10 dessert plates, 6 of which are in good order although 2 are stained to the underside and of the remaining 4, one has a large hairline crack with rivet repairs and 2 rim chips and another has a large hairline crack from the rim to the centre and another has a small chip to the rim which issues a 6 cm hairline crack. The final one has a hairline crack from rim to foot rim and is extensively stained on the underside. There are 15 dinner plates of which 8 are in good order (although 3 have issues with staining). The remaining plates have rim chips, rivet repairs or large hairline cracks. The last item is a large soup tureen and ladle the lid of which has a large hairline crack with 4 rivet repairs but the ladle is in good order. The tureen itself is in good order although it does have a 7 cm firing crack to the underside and a 1 cm slender chip to its foot rim which issues a 1 cm crack.

A silver metal toddy ladle, 18th century, with turned handle, the bowl inset with a Spanish Colonial (Mexico) 2 reales, 1740, initialled to exterior of bowl "IC" and monogrammed to front. Length 27.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a split to the interior of the bowl where the handle mount joins the body which is not visible from the exterior. Otherwise there are no further splits but there are numerous dents.
