Illuminated shop sign (affixed by hanging chain) ?Dinky Toys?. As new, never used apart from testing when acquired 20 years ago and now for auction. Three original bulbs from the 1950s, two of which still work! Modern 40 watt candle bulbs fit if required. A unique piece of Dinky Toy nostalgia which comes with the original hanging chain and in the original box used for delivery to the toy shop.
Meccano Leaflet. A leaflet for ?World Famous Toys? issued in 1949 with a colour cover featuring two lads surveying toys encircling a globe. The eight page booklet features Hornby Dublo along with Hornby Trains, Dinky Toys, Meccano and Dinky Builder. Fair condition: slightly grubby with an unobtrusive centre-fold. Contents clean and unmarked.
Meccano Catalogue x 2. Two ?Toys of Quality? issued by Meccano. Both pre-War and both are showing the dates of 1939-1940. The front covers are different as are the contents. Each cover overprinted with a dealer?s details, one in Glasgow the other in Street. Both bear the cover price of 1d. Good (sellotape affixed) to very good (slight corner curl).

A fold-out catalogue for New Zealand containing details of Hornby Dublo, Dinky Toys, Bayko Building Kits, Hornby Speedboats, Hornby Clockwork Trains, Meccano Sets, Circuit 24 and Elektrikit. Overprinted with details of both the New Zealand agent and the dealer in Auckland. Excellent condition.

Issues from February 1952, September 1952, I October 1953 (over-printed with J L Bailey of Pendleton) I October 1953 (over-printed with James Fraser of Aberfeldy), 1 October 1953 (over-printed with Percy Hodge Limited of Newton Abbott), 1954/55, 1955/56, July 1956, July 1957, July 1958. All in excellent to mint condition.
A ?Gamages? Catalogue. Issued in September 1960 although in accordance with the practice at the time dated 1961 on the front cover. Contains 130 pages of toys including 12 pages of Hornby Dublo. Gamages was the toyshop of its time. At its peak it made Hamleys look like a corner shop! An evocative item in very good condition. An invaluable source of knowledge to those engaged in researching the Golden Age of toys.
