Courtesy of Caro Flower The cottage can be booked for a week in either October 2020 or October 2021 by arrangement with the owner. Ferry House is a 19th century middle of terrace cottage right on the beach opposite Salcombe. The position is stunning! It has 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, sleeping a maximum of 11. There is a shared terrace with access to the beach (golden sand & very good for sandcastles!), & the passenger ferry to Salcombe comes (half-hourly in winter, on demand in summer) to the hard adjacent. There is parking for 2 vehicles at road level - there are steps and stairs, so the property is not wheelchair accessible. There is no TV, but WiFi is [normally] good. Accommodation: Downstairs: Hall, well equipped kitchen, living room with dining table & chairs and comfortable chairs around a woodburner, access to terrace & estuary view; bedroom 4 with 2 sets of bunk beds, also access to terrace & estuary view; loo 4. Upstairs: Master bedroom (king size bed), en-suite bathroom (loo, basin, bath with shower over), estuary view; bedroom 2 with twin beds and en-suite (tiny! but loo, basin, shower), bedroom 3 with 3 single beds, estuary view; family bathroom (loo, basin, large shower & separate bath). All bedrooms have ample storage space in chests of drawers & wardrobes, & all beds have bedside lights. The cottage is not a chi-chi holiday let with fashionable decor & everything matching; it is essentially a family home from home, full of books, games, jigsaws, beach toys, and personal decorative details - it has been in the same family for 60 years. More information & photos can be seen on the website: www.ferryhousesalcombe.co.uk
"It's Back" screamed the tagline on this boldly tri-coloured US One-Sheet for the 1979 re-release for "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope". Tom Jung's classic Luke and Leia pose has been retained from the original 1977 poster as the blue, red and silver borderless poster (unusually noteworthy for any Star Wars poster) is keen not only to promote the film but a new line of Kenner toys and the in production sequel "The Empire Strikes Back". Maybe not the most artistic but certainly a striking coloutful design that makes it memorable. Minimal handling wear it presents and displays to very good effect with a 1/2" tear and 2-3 minor scattered creases to top edge.Artist: Tom Jung£100 - 200
