Colourful and fun illustration by the British artist Lawson Wood (Clarence Lawson Wood; 1878-1957) featuring Gran'pop ape - an elderly monkey - walking towards a handmade toy propeller plane with his animal friends as a pig stands waiting by the boarding ladder - a teddy bear holding an umbrella with a hook at the end tied around Grandpop who is wearing big boots, a cushion tied around his back, and a flying helmet and goggles, walking next to a smaller monkey holding a life buoy with a hot water bottle and jug of nerve tonic but no bombs, the text above and below in stylised white and red letters. Lawson Wood's animal designs were so popular that they were made into wooden toys known as The Lawson Woodies. Printed in U.S.A.
