A Japanese porcelain vase, Meiji period (1868-1912), of ovoid form finely decorated with crane in flight, within multi-banded geometric borders, the neck with an iron red decoration, the base with 9-character mark in red, with old printed collection labels from Royal Worcester Porcelain Works, approximately 22 cm high (Qty: 1)NOTESRoyal Worcester had their own museum in the late 19th century created by R.W. Binns the joint Managing Director & Art Director this was to inspire new designs from his workforce, modellers, artists and gilders. There were ceramics in it from all over the world from Sevres to the Far East. It also included a small Worcester section which was retained and later added to by C,W. Dyson Perrins but much of the foreign ceramics were dispersed in the early 20th century.
