Royal Worcester. A ceramic study of a goldcrest on a branch of larch with cones, by Dorothy Doughty, the underside with “Goldcrest Regulus Cristatus and Larch”No. 13, signed D. Doughty copyright 1973 Est. of 31 and Royal Worcester black stamp. Set in original wooden plinth. Ht overall 23cm. CR. Very good , inevitably a few of the larch spicules are missing but this very fragile masterpiece is otherwise in very good condition. Note. Due to its fragile nature this item will not be despatched by any carrier; the purchaser must arrange collection.
Five Worcester cups and saucers from the Flight Barr partnership c.1792-1813, two decorated with the Royal Lily pattern, one with a bright Japan pattern of flowers, fences and rockwork, two with differing continuous foliate bands in gilt, blue and brown, incised B marks to two, two impressed with a crowned BFB mark, the last with a crowned FBB mark, 14.7cm max. A rare Royal Worcester cased coffee set date code for 1940, richly decorated in the Independence 1776 pattern, each piece with a blue eagle perched on a flowering branch. Comprising: eight coffee cups and eight saucers contained in a fitted case. This design, based on an 18th century original, was produced in a limited run of 500 sets and sold only in the United States of America.
