Chamberlain’s Worcester comport, dodecagonal top gilded with foliate scrolls on a claret ground enclosing central reserve painted with figures before a gothic building, the base with red painted inscription ‘The Garrison, Millport, August 22nd 1845, Chamberlain, Worcester’, raised on conforming foot, 27cm diameter The Garrison, Millport was originally built in the mid 18th century by Captain Crawford of the Reserve Cutter ‘Royal George’ as a barracks for officers and crew. By the date of this dish the house was owned by the Earl of Bute, a keen buyer of Worcester porcelain, and it is likely the dish was commissioned for him.This information is contained in a letter dated 2009, from the Curator of the Worcester Porcelain Museum, together with other paperwork which will be offered with this lot.
A set of six Victorian Worcester dessert plates. Painted with flowers and ferns within burgundy and gilt borders, impressed marks, diameter 23cm, together with 11 Cauldon plates, and a Royal Worcester yellow ground muffin dish and cover.Crackle to glaze on the muffin dish and cover, one of the dessert plates and a Cauldon plate with stained crackle glaze and a chip to the rim.

(1 box, bowl and large tureen) Further Details: Platter: crazing and general wear, Tureen: large chip to top rim, crazing, some cracking in parts, Copelands plate and unmarked plate: both have signs of usage, slight scratching and general wear, Other items: General wear commensurate to age.

A WW2 cigarette box with Homeguard engraved plaque & Royal Worcester oval by Raymond Rushton. The lid mounted with an engine turned white metal cover with central ceramic hand painted plaque by Royal Worcester artist Ray Rushton. To the front is a marked Sterling silver plaque engraved: "To Capt G M Haynes 'B' Coy 1st (Den) Home Guard from the officers, NCOs and men of 'B' Coy as a token of their esteem". 17cm x 11.5cm x 5.5cm.
Two Royal Worcester figures, a large Grecian water carrier, number 125 and a figure of Liberty, 20th Century, size - water carrier 52cm high, Liberty 37cm high. Condition - water carrier-left arm and hand repaired with overspray to body. Liberty-right arm broken off at shoulder and right hand missing.
