The body is signed Maybury. There are no obvious faults visible. The vase rings out when tapped. The main view is of two peaches and some black cherries, the reverse has a white ground with two black cherries and a leaf. The next vase is decorated with peaches and grapes; the reverse has a white ground decorated with two blackberries. The pierced lid is in good order throughout although there is some very slight rubbing to the gilding on the point of the finial. The vase is signed P M Platt. The vase rings out when lightly tapped. There is a very small chip approx 2 mm x 2 mm to the underside of the rim to the left side of the rim just above the main decoration.

CONDITION REPORT: Both the porcelain liners appear to be free from any chips or cracks. There is no obvious crazing to the naked eye of one. However there are some surface scratches on the lower white section. The other sleeve has no crazing visible to the naked eye, but under a jewellers loop there is crazing throughout the majority of the body and also some surface scratches from being in contact with the silver. The silver appears to be in good order with no obvious faults, the marks are clear. The weighted bases are again in good order. When placed in the silver sleeve both of the porcelain liners do rise above the top of their silver housing.
