Pair of tree root handled vases - both have small chips on raised decoration around rim. Both also have wear to gilded/painted decoration on handle and main body. Vase on far left of picture - Hadleys Worcester, good overall condition, no chips, cracks, crazing, very light signs of wear to painted and gilt decoration. Small two-handled vase - good overall condition, no chips or cracks, light wear to painted and gilt decoration. A Pair of Royal Worcester Table Ornaments. The twin dished comports each modelled with a girl & boy dressed in Kate Greenaway style costume predominantly in white with gilt trim. The flat basket weave dishes raised on the branches of oak trees sprouting gilded leaves. Impressed marks to base V2 936 and V5 937, 7½ ins (19 cms) in height (A/F).

The Carlton 'Armada' lustre glazed pedestal dish ornamented with moths and butterflies, 3¼ ins (8 cms) high, 4¼ ins (11 cms) in diameter. The Wedgwood bowl with scrolling gilt dragons 2½ ins (6 cms) high, 5 ins (13 cms) in diameter.

Sir Thomas Brock for Royal Worcester, The Bather Surprised, circa 1875, model 486, a ceramic figure of a semi-clad Classical woman by a tree stump, on a gilt base, impressed T Brock, London, stamped mark and impressed 8b8, 65cm high Note: A native of Worcester, Brock worked for several of the Worcester factories in the 1850s and 60s before completing his professional training under sculptor John Foley in London. His most famous sculptures are the Victoria monument outside Buckingham Palace and the Albert Memorial under Foley. This Worcester figure is a copy of his 1868 sculpture Salamacis. The Worcester version was exhibited at the 1878 Paris Exhibition and was produced in three sizes, this being the largest.
