The image shows the Interkosmos space station flying around the moon, leaving a red trail with the hammer and sickle on it. The text is in red stylised font, curving around the moon, all on a dark blue background. Interkosmos was a Soviet space program, designed to help the Soviet Union's allies with crewed and uncrewed space missions. The program was formed in April 1967 in Moscow. All members of the program from USSR were given the Hero of the Soviet Union medal or the Order of Lenin. The program included the allied east-European states of the Warsaw Pact, CoMEcon, and other socialist states like Afghanistan, Cuba, Mongolia, and Vietnam. In addition, pro-Soviet non-aligned states such as India and Syria participated, and even states such as the United Kingdom, France and Austria, despite them being capitalist states. Original vintage propaganda poster titled A Reality! First Space Flight, featuring an illustration of Space Shuttle Columbia orbiting the Earth.STS-1 (Space Transportation System-1) was the first orbital spaceflight of NASA's Space Shuttle program. The first orbiter, Columbia, launched on 12 April 1981 and returned on 14 April, 54.5 hours later, having orbited the Earth 36 times. Columbia carried a crew of two – mission commander John W. Young and pilot Robert L. Crippen. It was the first American crewed space flight since the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project in 1975. STS-1 was also the only maiden test flight of a new American spacecraft to carry a crew, though it was preceded by atmospheric testing of the orbiter and ground testing of the Space Shuttle system. The launch occurred on the 20th anniversary of the first human spaceflight, performed by Yuri Gagarin for the USSR. Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky (17 September [O.S. 5 September] 1857 – 19 September 1935), was a Russian and Soviet rocket scientist who pioneered astronautic theory. Along with the Frenchman Robert Esnault-Pelterie, the Transylvanian German Hermann Oberth and the American Robert H. Goddard, he is one of the founding fathers of modern rocketry and astronautics. His works later inspired leading Soviet rocket-engineers Sergei Korolev and Valentin Glushko who contributed to the success of the Soviet space program. A ordem secreta de Auchinleck..., featuring a caricature of a British Army commander Claude Auchinleck (1884-1981) sitting in a candle lit tent at a table writing a secret order, with a bed, clock, and maps around him, an oversized German general and military theorist Erwin Rommel (1891-1944) is shadowing over him, the reverse of the poster features a copy of the Secret Order dated 23 March 1942 and its' translation to Portuguese, asking to 'discourage the idea that Rommel is anything but an ordinary German general', 'to stop altogether talking of Rommel when we mean the enemy in Libya. We must refer to the Germans, or the Axis Forces, or the enemy, never specifically to Rommel.' signed C.J. Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster for American Overseas Airlines AOA flights to USA featuring a striking graphic design by Jan Le Witt (1907-1991) and George Him (1900-1981), the successful design team Lewitt-Him (1933-1955). AOA is written in large yellow and white letters casting a shadow onto the ground. A white plane flies into the distance, leaving a pink vapour trail through the O of AOA. USA is written in pink and white striped letters. The background fades from black up to a starry blue sky. Formerly AEA (American Export Airlines, 1937-1945) until merging with American Airlines, AOA ran services between USA and Europe from 1945-1950 before merging with Pan Am (now Delta Air Lines).
