"ARISE, YE PRISONERS OF STARVATION!"Excellent original art for a propaganda poster: "Arise Ye Prisoners of Starvation", a striking image painted in tempera on heavy paper, 18 1/2" x 32 1/2", date unknown. This fine work depicts a determined native woman clutching a rife with bayonet as her starving child clings to her back. The woman could be African, or more likely South American. An excellent painting, bearing only light surface soiling and worthy of display. From a single collection obtained entirely in China pre-2000.
1950S CHINESE PROPAGANDA POSTER (PARTIAL)Section of a 1950's-era Chinese political poster, 12 1/2" x 15", a depiction of an urban scene showing mass gatherings and demonstrations against Western imperialism and the U.S. Visible in the scene are various large billboards bearing anti-U.S. slogans, including: "American Imperialist, Get Out of Taiwan!", "American Imperialist is the Enemy of the People all Over the World", and "Smash American Imperialist's Plot to Wage Wars!" A worker at the center of the image waves a large "Red Guard" flag, as the crowd around him raise their fists and chant slogans. Folds, one small instance of paper loss at the fold. Set into a dark wood frame with a loose backing, else very good.

Russian Propaganda Poster 1987 - “Peace, Land, Bread” this poster represents Lenin holding a clock, watching for the time peace would settle in Russia after WWI and how long he had to think about solving this problem in 1917 before Russia became a Communist state after his leading the Revolution. An interesting peiece of Soviet propaganda.
