Leni Riefenstahl signed sepia photo. 22 August 1902-8 September 2003) was a German film director, producer, screenwriter, editor, photographer, actress and dancer widely known for directing the Nazi propaganda film Triumph of the Will. Riefenstahl’s prominence in the Third Reich, along with her personal association with Adolf Hitler, destroyed her film career following Germany's defeat in World War II, after which she was arrested but released without any charges.

A COALPORT BLUE AND WHITE JUG, JOHN ROSE & CO, 1796-C1800 printed with armorials, 18cm h The shape of the present jug with its central moulded vesica reserve suggest an early date of c1796. The armorials represent the Borough of Shrewsbury's support in 1796 for William Hill of Attingham and this and similar larger jugs may be a response to John Hill of Hawkestone's spurious election 'propaganda' jugs, when he sought to have the election decision changed in his favour. ++Old repair to neck and handle where formerly riveted No Reserve

The poster depicts a group of three medics or nurses marching. The caption reads - "Learn Military First Aid". This poster is an offset lithography reprint on paper, made in 1976 at Aurora Art Publishing in Leningrad. Most poster reprints of this type of poster were reprinted outside the USSR. Reprints made inside the USSR borders are extremely rare and hard to find. Printing press stamp on back. 58cm X 41cm / 22.8in X 16.14in.

§ Clive Uptton (British, 1911-2006) "Let's Pull Together" - a wartime propaganda painting from 1942 signed lower left "Clive Uptton" oil on canvas 87 x 112cm (34 x 44in) Clive Upton was educated at Brentwood Grammar School and Southend Art School before moving to London to attend Central Art School and, later, Heatherley's School of Art. He began contributing professionally at the age of 19 before graduating from Central Art School. When he noticed another artist named Upton was working for the Evening Standard, he added a second "t" to his surname so that their work was not confused. During the war he also worked for the Ministry of Information producing cartoons and posters. The present painting incorporates a young girl without a wedding ring and an older man at the helm to show the inclusiveness needed in wartime. Relined - unframed - and fine.
