A Poole vase decorated with the BN pattern designed by Truda Carter, of low shouldered form, decorated with a broad band of brightly coloured flowers against a white ground, with blue dotted rim, black printed 'Poole, England', dolphin mark to base and artist's monogram, impressed 443, 7" high.
Three pieces of early Poole pottery, to include a swollen bottle vase by Anne Hatchard, 30cm tall, grey ground with blue decoration, initialled to base, an ovoid shaped vase, with blue circle and line design, 25cm high with CSA mark, and a twin handled shoulder vase, the buff ground with brown decoration, 19.5cm high, impressed mark, (3).
A London Brighton & South Coast Railway 4-aspect long-necked HANDLAMP. The body, stamped "LB&SC Ry", bears a large oval brass plate embossed "London Brighton and South Coast Railway Company; a smaller oval brass maker's plate "Arthur J. Poole Manu. 25 Pershore St, Birmingham", and is stamped "B.1238 MIDHURST" (twice). The reducing-cone is stamped "LB&SCR", and the top handle "B1237 BC". Complete with a vessel stamped "S(B)R"; a SR brass/ceramic burner; reflector and all glasses. In fine condition, stripped of paint. Midhurst station, on the Petersfield-Pulborough line, and the junction for Chichester, opened in 1881 (to replace an earlier station opened in 1866), and closed in 1955.
A modern design hardwood coffee table, inlaid boxwood stringing, the square tapering legs with a stretchered undertier. 22in. (56cm) x 4ft. (122cm). A design attributable to Gordon Russell who was a close friend of the Carter family of Poole Pottery (furniture of this design was first exhibited at the 1951 Festival of Britain exhibition).

Signed, also inscribed on the artist's original label verso with the title of the work and his address "174 Belsize Road, London NW" and numbered 2, oil on panel, 20.5cm by 30.5cm (81/4in by 12in)
