Scarce 1920's NSDAP (Nazi) party document signed in ink by Adolf Hitler, the typed document dated 29th August 1927 appoints a Mr Hugo Herzog to a position as a Gauleiter from 1st September 1927. N.B. The document was purchased from Cavendish Auctions and was from the collection of Major Ernest Poole (1913 - 1995), who took the document from the NSDAP archives in Austria. Poole was an intelligence officer during the war.The letter has been consigned for sale with us by the widow of the former owner. She has informed us that he never researched the letter after acquiring it from Cavendish Auctions and it just formed part of his personal collection.
