A MALABAR 'DORSET REGT' GROUP OF THREE MEDALS. A 1914/15 Star and British War Medal named to 3-8459 Pte W Huxter Dorset R. An India General Service Medal with bar Malabar 1921-22, named to 571207 Pte W Huxter Dorset Regt. William Huxter served in France from the 4/12/1914, with the 1st Battalion of the Dorset Regiment. Later transferred to the the 2nd Battalion, where he served in India from 19/101/1919. Thence onto Egypt in January 1922. A native of Bridport Dorset, William was born in April 1889 and by profession a Cordite Worker in Poole Dorset in 1939.
