A gentleman's black double-breasted black evening suit, bearing label inscribed "Henry Poole & Co. Savile Row" and another to the interior dated "1972 No. 1700/G Colonel GG Hodges", a further brown single-breasted suit with matching waistcoat, the interior of the jacket with hand-inscribed label "Size 41?", a vintage circa 1940's floral and sequin decorated dress and a vintage silk jacket with embroidered prunus and floral decoration in the Chinese manner CONDITION REPORTS Sequin dress and embroidered jacket only - dress has some discolouration to the under-arms and there is a rip to the left hand side above the eyelets. Some sequins are lost, some dirt, especially to the one shoulder. Jacket has some discolouration and staining throughout. There are a couple of holes in the silk also. There are the odd loose threads to the embroidery. Both items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details

ADDED LOT Eight Poole Studio Pottery Dishes, each with abstract design against an orange ground CONDITION REPORT: Some minor discolouration and one or plates with wear to edge although no hairlines, cracks, chips or restoration noted. Undersides are dirty.

ADDED LOT A large Poole Studioware Charger, shape No. 54; 41.5cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: 41.5cm diameter. Some surface scratching to the centre of the bowl, item appears dirty and grubby on the underside and also has a 2.5.3cm black scratch to the edge of the underside (which is not a hairline). Other than this the condition is reasonable.

ADDED LOT Five Poole Studioware Bowls, one red, blue and stone coloured, the others predominantly with orange ground, the largest 34cm CONDITION REPORT: The bowl with the four orange flowers around the edge has a 5cm hairline running right in from the edge of the bowl towards the middle and is very grubby and dirty etc. The red green and blue bowl is grubby and has old stickers to the underside. The large bowl appears to be in reasonable order with a few surface scratches to the glaze. The two smaller bowls although grubby appear to be in reasonable order, condition commensurate with age.

ADDED LOT Two Poole Studioware Chargers, the larger decorated with a large orange flower; 36cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Plates dirty and grubby to underside, some surface scratches to glaze but no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration noted.

ADDED LOT Five large boat-shaped Poole Studioware Dishes together with five further smaller oval Dishes (10) CONDITION REPORT: Some plates appear dirty and grubby underneath, one of the smaller tear drop shaped bowls has a 2” hairline visible mostly from the underside, another of the same sized plates has notable discolouration to the underside, glaze crazing is prevalent and minor surface scratching, the five larger boat shaped plates generally appear in good order with again some discolouration to the undersides although no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration noted, three of these have self-adhesive tape to the undersides.

Lot 51A

ADDED LOT A Poole Studio style Jardiniere decorated with horizontal and angular grooves, together with two further similarly decorated Vases and two other Poole Studioware Vases (5); the Jardiniere 22cm in diameter CONDITION REPORT: The larger Jardiniere does have a couple of small hairlines running from the lip of the vase, the similar vase with the vertical grooves appears OK. All the items appear grubby, dirty and in need of a clean. The second vase appears OK, the third vase which is predominantly yellow ground with an abstract design again appears grubby and dirty but no major problems, cracks, chips or restorations to the body. Turning it up there is prevalent glaze crazing and what appears to be a 2cm “star crack”. The vase with the red band to the middle appears in reasonable order again although dirty inside. The last vase with a yellow and orange ground with vertical angular fluted decoration has some minor scratching to the underside but apart from that appears to be in reasonable order.

ADDED LOT Four Poole Studioware Vases of cylindrical section, the patterns against an orange ground, the largest 39.5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Cylindrical example with the “waist” has a small star crack to the underside, no other chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration are noted to the other three vases although there is some minor glaze crazing and some firing blemishes to the tallest vase,

ADDED LOT Four Poole Studioware Vases of squat baluster form together with three other cylindrical form Vases (7) CONDITION REPORT: Some minor glaze crazing, discolouration to tallest vase to inside, the four squat vases appear in good general overall condition with no chips, hairlines, fractures or restoration noted but one or two with minor firing blemishes.

ADDED LOT Six assorted Poole Studioware Bowls, two red ground, one orange ground, one green ground, one yellow ground and one stone-coloured ground CONDITION REPORT: Some minor scratching to centre of one or two plates, minor wear to outside of one or two and some light brown discolouration to underside of some, no hairlines, cracks, chips or restoration noted in any of them.

ADDED LOT An assortment of 16 different varying sized Poole Studioware Pickle /Hors d'oeuvre Dishes CONDITION REPORT: Having looked at these items no “major” problems are noted although they do appear grubby and the yellow bowl upon close inspection does have a 2cm hairline running from the edge towards the middle.

ADDED LOT An assortment of 14 (in two different sizes) Poole Studioware Dishes CONDITION REPORT: Some glaze crazing on some of them and some minor scratches to surface (nothing major), some plates have discoloured undersides but again no major problems, hairlines, cracks, damage or restoration noted.

ADDED LOT Two Poole Studioware Dishes, one decorated with a flower against an olive green ground, the other with an abstract design against an orange ground, the orange ground Plate 20cm in diameter CONDITION REPORT: The black and orange plate appears in reasonable condition with no major problems noted. The green plate appears dirty underneath and has several small glaze blemishes.
