Condition Report: Blue vase overall condition good, has a firing mark (see image) and rubbing to the top. Orange vase, condition good, has damage to base (see image)
HAROLD STABLER - SIGNED BRASS DOORSTOP a very interesting brass doorstop, The Goat, taken from a pottery design at the Poole Pottery. Originally designed in 1927 in earthenware, this is made in brass with lead to weight the base. Signed H Stabler on the side, and with the initials HS. 15 1/4ins (39cms) high *This model is shown in Poole Pottery by Leslie Hayward, page 42. I have been unable to find another example in brass.
