A collection of 20th Century Carter Tiles (Poole Pottery) 6 inch dust pressed tiles, to include a pair of painted abstract tiles designed by Harold Elvin, black glaze over white ground, painted signature verso, a screen printed tile by Ivor Kamlish, black over white ground, a powder blue transfer printed over white tile, designed by Lawrence Scarfe, stylised flowers and trailing leaves within double ogee cartouche on lined and spotted ground, and another screenprinted tile, centaur in silhouette reserved to a blue glazed ground. (5)
Two Carter's Tiles plastic clay 6 inch tiles, both originally from the Carter's Poole Pottery Tea Room before it's demolition, with designs by Edward Bawden and hand painted by Phyllis Butler and Emily Dinsdale in black and highlighted in green, the first of the buildings with smoke coming from chimneys, the other with a man loading a furnace. (2) NB - It is believed that one hundred and twenty tiles, featuring forty different designs, were rescued from the demolition.
A collection of 20th Century 6 inch dust pressed tiles, one in wooden trivet frame, printed and painted over white ground, decorated with hunting, fishing and shooting scenes, including Minton, Meakin (attributed) and Pilkington's, together with a Carter Tiles (Poole Pottery) tile painted with a jousting knight. A pair of early 20th Century Carters of Poole Emaux Ombrants tiles relief moulded with a portrait of Lord Kitchener taken from Bassanos original, one picked out in lilac glaze, the other in deep turquoise, together with a further example depicting a portrait of Charles Van Raalte and an earlier 6 inch dust pressed tile with a portrait of a gentleman. A collection of five Carter Tiles (Poole Pottery) dust pressed 6 inch tiles with screen printed decoration, comprising two from the Coptic Saints series by Reginald Till circa 1979, decorated with saints on horseback, and three with floral motifs designed by Trudi Carter and Reginald Till circa 1950s, together with a Carter & Co pot stand circa 1900 with moulded decoration and finished in a brown/olive glaze. An early 20th Century Carters Poole 5 inch dust pressed tile, to include Punting from the Sporting series designed by Edward Bawden, with hand painted stylised scene in colour glazes over a buff clay ground, together with a D. K. Thick for Carter Tiles example decorated with a hand painted stylised dog over a cream ground with a black border, maker's marks verso. (2)

A 1950s Carter Tiles (Poole Pottery) dust pressed 4 inch tile, from The Chase series of hunting scenes by Edward Bawden, decorated under glaze with a fisherman in red and black against a grey ground, impressed mark to back, together with a H&R Johnson tile with faux tube lined decoration of a fish, and two Dunsmore Tiles tiles hand painted underglaze with a fish. A pair of 20th Century Pilkington tiles decorated at Poole Pottery, each decorated by Lindsay Cole with later interpretations of the Cookery series designed by Claire Wallis, one with an apple, one with fish in pastel colours to a white glazed ground, signed in monogram, together with an earlier Poole Pottery tile screen printed with figures on horse back by Reginald Till and Peggy Thomas, and a 1950s Carter tile transfer printed with a playing card on simulated wood effect ground. 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY: Selection of signed 8 x 10 photographs and slightly smaller (2) by various cast members of Stanley Kubrick´s epic science fiction film 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) comprising Keir Dullea (Dr. David Bowman; the image depicting him in character costume), Gary Lockwood (Dr. Frank Poole; the image depicting him in character costume), William Sylvester (Dr. Heywood Floyd), Margaret Tyzack (Elena; the image depicting the actress in costume as Elizabeth Gee from Ring of Spies, 1964), and Robert Beatty (Dr. Ralph Halvorsen). To include: 8 candid photographs of The Beach Boys (each 8x8cm) taken c 1964 many with notes to verso, inc a concert photo from Apr '64. These photos were sent to our vendor's husband at the time. Also 8 photos (9x9cm) depicting the Liverpool scene of the 60s inc the Islet Brothers, Brian Poole and others.
