Edward Seago RBA ARWS RWS (British, 1910-1974): 'Sunset - Poole Harbour', unsigned, oil on artist's board, 19 by 23.5cm (7.5 by 9.25 inches), in a cream and grey painted pine frame with gold inner edge, 28.5 by 33cm, the painted artist's board itself 20.5 by 25cm, with letter to back from previous owner detailing provenance, this painting is shown facing page 41 of 'A Canvas to Cover' by Edward Seago, published Collins, London, 1946.Provenance: Private Deceased Estate, purchased Bonhams, Bury St Edmunds, circa 1995, previously from the collection of John Ratcliffe Esq.***Subject to ARR***Condition Report: The paint layer is in a very good condition overall, there are five or six tiny (1mm) dark pieces that have been caught in the paint layer. The frame is also in good condition.
