A 1963 Hillman Super Minx convertible, registration number UFX 61, chassis number B1300286HHCO, engine number B1300286HHCO, white. Originally supplied in 1963 by Craven Brothers in Portland, Dorset to its first owner. UFX 61 stayed in his ownership until 1989 when purchased by the second owner, a Mr Martin Wills of Shaftesbury, Dorset, who retained the car until 1997. During his ownership the decision was made to carry out a total ground up restoration of the car. This work was started but unfortunately after a long time and considerable expenditure due to ill health the car was not completed and sold unfinished to its third owner in 1997, a Mr Silvey of Poole. His subsequently completed the restoration between 1997 and 2003. Finished in white with red interior, it has only been used for club meetings and outings and has been exhibited on the Hillman Owner's Club stand at the prestigious NEC classic car show in Birmingham. Mr Silvey has now had to take the decision to give up driving and hence he is now parting with the car. UFX 61 is now offered for sale having had just three owners, and the odometer reading of 55,000 miles is reported to be correct. It retained its original registration number, tools including starting handle, its original handbook, radio with owner's manual and the supplying agents plaque is still attached to the dashboard. The Hillman will be supplied with a history file containing a number of previous MOT certificates and sundry paperwork. A very collectable car and one of only very few left registered with the DVLA, it offers a tremendous opportunity. ***No RF60***, V5, V5C, ***MOT to August 2018 (not September 2018)*** See illustrations
