A DUTCH SILVER THOMASON-TYPE DOUBLE ACTION CORKSCREW the turned and ebonised wood handle with brush, the octagonal barrel stamped on alternate facets with spiralling foliage, 18cm h, post 1814 higher standard mark, Amsterdam 1843 Polish residues, the action ceased ie the corkscrew withdraws but continued turning does not engage causing the handle to retract as intended. No damage as such, the silver parts in fine condition with polish residues, one of the turned rings around the handle slightly chipped but entirely original
