W. R. Mills, postmarked 1955.12.1/4” wide, 14.1/4” high. Footnote: The storyboard itself is presumed lost, as these companies simply didn’t keep storyboard art after shooting. In asking for a copy the same year of transmission, Miss Mills has unintentionally and remarkably given us all a glimpse of the original artwork which would have been discussed, approved upon and then shot. This is very important independent British television history. The storyboard comes close but not pure to what was actually shot and transmitted. In the final caption box, two endings are given for consideration which are “Get S.R. – the tingling-fresh toothpaste for teeth and gums – Gibbs S. R.”, then also “See your dentist regularly, and brush with S.R. – the tingling-fresh toothpaste for teeth and gums. Gibbs S. R.”. Quiz time: Can you remember which one was used for the 1955 transmission?
