A modern blue velvet upholstered "Loaf" sofa on ebonised bracket feet approx. 191 cm wide x 88 cm deep x 85 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The piece appears basically sound throughout with no signs of ripping or damage. There is some marking to both side panels and wear to the feet conducive with day to day use. Could arguably do with a clean or at least a good brush down, particularly the side panels. Nice plein aire landscape with homestead. Appears to be unvarnished. A resident of Santa Fe since 1977, George Pate works in plein aire to render New Mexico’s light, shade, and shadow with strong design, vital color, and thoughtful brush strokes. Pate evokes both realism and impressionism in his canvases and consistently displays his understanding of the essentials of form, color, and composition.
