Book signed, a hardback edition of Popism - The Warhol 60s, First Edition published by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, New York, 1980 (stated First Edition with letters BCDE printed to copyright page). Signed by Warhol in black ink with his name alone to the half title page. The black ink that Warhol used has also left a slight impression of his signature on the two pages immediately before and after the half title. Accompanied by the dust jacket which is also signed by Warhol with his initials ('AW') in black ink to a clear area at the head above his portrait and printed title. Some very light, minor age wear and a few small tears to the edges of the dust jacket, otherwise VG

The specially bound edition is numbered 102 of 200 and is signed by Warhol in bold black ink with his name alone to the limitations page. The black ink that Warhol used has also left a slight impression of his signature to the half title and title pages. Manuel Marín, Spanish 1942-2007- Untitled; polychrome painted metal mobile, 68cm wide, (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Note: Manuel Marin was born in 1942 in Cieza, Murcia, Spain. In 1962 he travelled to London meeting Henry Moore and worked as one of his assistants. In 1964 he moved to New York where he worked as an Art restorer in the Mallorca Brothers Gallery. Subsequently, he opened the American Indian Art Gallery, where one of his clients was Andy Warhol and became friendly with the artists William Kooning, Jean Michel Basquiat, Robert Indiana, and Haring Keltan, amongst others. In 1969 Marin became interested in mobiles as sculpture. He had his first exhibition at the Allan Brown Gallery, Scarsdale, New York in 1970. CONDITION REPORT: black linear mark approx 2.5cm on the surface of the large red element, appears to perhaps be pen no other visible defects or damages, otherwise very good condition
