THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO - A early 'banana' sleeve issue of the classic album, issued with a (later) UK MGM LP. The record (2315056 1971) is in Ex+ condition with only one or two very wispy markings visible under intense light. The original Andy Warhol designed US sleeve (V6-5008) is in Ex condition. The banana is 'unpeeled', with a light crease near the top - elsewhere a really fine example; there is the UK export catalogue number (2315 056) sticker on the back cover. ( Vinyl Records )

THELONIOUS MONK - MONK (WARHOL) - A great opportunity to bid on this early Prestige LP with this iconic sleeve design by Reid Miles with Andy Warhol typography. The record (PRLP 7053) has '203 South Washington Ave, Bergenfield, N.J' address 'sideways C' next to the RVG stamp and deep grooves. The condition is G+ with surface marks to both sides and a small scratch at the start of side 2. The sleeve is in VG condition with some tape along the top edge; though it doesn't seem to have been split or torn and this may have been placed as to protect it. There is an (approx) 8 cm seam split along the bottom edge.( JAZZ VINYL RECORDS )

Warhol states, `Dear Bud, here´s a bottle in case you want to toast your friends or do some light drinking with your heavy reading or vice versa.´ further concluding `With all the holidays coming, some people wish just for peace, but I wish for peace with a Grande Passion.´. Warhol has added his correspondent´s name Bud to the beginning of the text, in his hand. Written and signed in bold black large letters. VG £200-300Interview is an American Magazine, co-founded in 1969 by Warhol and John Wilcock, a British journalist. The magazine features intimate conversations and interviews with art celebrities, and was nicknamed “The Crystal Ball of Pop”. The creative covers of Interview which gave the magazine its signature style during the 70´s and 80´s were done by artist Richard Bernstein.
